   HAMBURG : DO YOU KNOW HAMBURGER?



   Normally, Lots of people recall "beer" when they hear the word, 
   Germany.
   Yes, That's also true though, The world famous food, 
   Hamburger also is named after one of Germany's city, Hamburg. 

   I was in there.
   

 It did take one and a half hours to get to Hamburg central station 
 from Bremen by train. 

 I tried the curry burst as soon as I got there. I don't know why.
 but I think I might be starving. 

 

Actually, that was not special, Some cut of grilled sausages 
and some ketchup, curry powder on the top. That was quite salty. 

Hamburg also was in Germany. that's why there were lots of kiosk 
selling take-away beer, even in front of the city hall.






Hamburg's signature beer is Astra, It is kind of larger, 
so fizzy and sparkling.

Wherever I went, I could enjoy the Astra beer. 
Actually, The beer was so fitting with salty food like German food.

That's why I got Schweinshaxe two times with the beer.
Shchweinshaxe is kind of German traditional pork dish.

Frankly, at first day, I could not find the shchweinshaxe anywhere.

I got similar one.




I realized the fact the dish was not shchweinshaxe, 
when I got real shchweinshaxe at my 2nd day.

On my way to Hambug hafen city, I found a small but lovely 
gallery. a lady was painting something, she was also making 
postcard which made by her and selling that.

I am gonna post about Hafen city in more details later.

After gave my heart to Hafen city project. I had to turn my step
to my hostel. because Sunset already came around. 

At that time, I was almost starved so, I could eat a horse.

Fortunately, I could find a pub-restaurant nearby my hostel.







I got a pork dish like shchweinshaxe with a pint of Astra.




Can you see the portrait? all they were working at the pub. 

While I was waiting my food and beer, I enjoyed to find who is
whom. that was so funny.

and the ambiance of the pub was quite traditional and antique.

 
I did not know well the reason, I could sleep deeply at that night.
I think that was all because of a pint of Astra. love that.

Actually, There was one more place I had to visit. So I was hurry
to leave hostel next morning. 

That place was a home brewing beer company. 

They had their own beer brewing recipe and system. 

That was my first experience to drink home-brewed beer.







Finally, I ordered real shchweinshaxe. but to be frank, 
That was little bit disappointed. too greasy and oily to cover
any beer.

but their home brewed beer was so nice. quite rich!
